Enjoyed traditional dishes perfected, and served in a warm and modern style and toast your adventure with local wines and liqueurs. Sit back, relax and prepare yourself for a gastronomic experience.
OPTIONAL: After your taste buds have been intrigued why not go, and discover the “dark side” of the city, on a “Witch Tour” to expore the tales of the occult in Zagreb
Good morning! It’s time to explore the markets and some of the finest locally produced food and wine on offer in this amazing city. Bubbling, creamy Strukli, air-dried prosciutto, roasted duck and a few glasses of wine.
We hope you’re in the mood to indulge because it’s time to hit the road to “Kezele Estate”. Vineyards and a great meal with locally produced ingredients are waiting for you, far from the bustle of the city. In the evening, lounge back in the fresh air of the countryside with a glass of wine.
After breakfast, it’s time to delve into the culinary dynasty that is Istria. First stop, Zminj, for a tasting of local cheeses and of course wine, and then off to try some amazing locally produced salamis.
Afterwards we’ll head to Pula, where we have a cooking class lined up for you. You’ll work with the best ingredients, to prepare some traditional Croatian dishes with our Gourmet Experience Team. Once our bellies are full it’s time for bed – or you can soak up the nightlife in Pula.
It’s wine & olive day! After breakfast, we’ll head to Chiavalon to try the best olive oil in the world. Next, we’ll hit the Matosevic vineyards for a wine tasting. They have some great wines for us to try and some amazing salamis and cheeses to start the days’ culinary adventure.
Back through the hills to Rossi vineyards, where we won’t only be sipping wine – but also try their gin and cognac. Just after the fall of the evening, we will ascend to the quaint hilltop town of Buzet, check into our hotel, and spend a little time relaxing. We end the day with a truffle-themed dinner in Motovun.
You’ve indulged, enjoyed and relaxed, so grab your breakfast and get ready to go hunting now! Mark Twain once said “there’s gold in them far hills”, but we prepare truffles, to be honest. We will spend a few hours delving into the sunny meadows in order to uncover truffles and reward ourselves with an indulgent lunch.
After lunch, we are going to sample some wonderful sweets and grappa at Aura Distillery. After an exhilarating day, it’s time to go back to Zagreb and part ways – with great memories and new skills.
